- Tileagd Community Church Building Fund
The Smiles Foundation believe that now is the right time for a church building.
Since meetings began in the school library/computer room, membership has grown to around 100.
They aim to build a 3,500 sq foot sanctuary plus church offices (estimated cost £71.50 per sq ft )

How this church is helping
Following the visit in August by 10 Wigton people and the donation of £5,300 over the last two years towards the Tileagd Community project, we have decided to continue to support the Smiles Foundation work in Romania by sponsoring a child at the Tileagd Community School. This will involve an exchange of information with our Children's Groups and will cost £350 per year.
Fund raising planned for this includes a Christmas Coffee Morning on 1st December, sale of Christmas cards with photos from the visit, collection of loose change and a Beetle Drive in early 2008.
In August a cheque for £3,330 was sent to The Smiles Foundation with the request that it be used for Phase 2 of the Tileagd Project.
